Afghanistan T20 World Cup 2024 Schedule

The ninth edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 will take place across the length and breadth of the Caribbean islands and the United States of America between June 02-29m

Each team will play a total of four Group matches in this 20-team event. The top two from each of the four groups will advance to the Super-8 stage, where eight teams will be split into two groups.

The top two teams from each group will move to the knockout stage. The semi-finals will take place on June 27, followed by the summit clash in Barbados on June 29.

After a strong display in the recent ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 in India, the Afghanistan Cricket Team will look to repeat the same in the Caribbean Islands this summer.

Afghanistan T20 World Cup 2024 Schedule

Afghanistan have been drawn alongside co-hosts West Indies, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, and Uganda in Group C at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024.

The Asian Giant Killers will open their campaign against Uganda in Guyana on June 03 before locking horns with the Kiwis at the same venue on June 07.

Afghanistan will then square off against Papua New Guinea at the Brian Lara Cricket Stadium in Trinidad on June 13 before moving to St. Lucia for a blockbuster clash against co-hosts West Indies at the Darren Sammy National Cricket Stadium. The match will take place on June 17.

Afghanistan T20 World Cup 2024 schedule for the group stage was released on January 5. Afghanistan are in Group C of the tournament along with co-hosts West Indies, former finalists New Zealand, debutants Uganda and rising cricketing nation PNG.

The first match of Afghanistan is against Uganda in Guyana on June 3, and four days later, Afghanistan will play against New Zealand on the same ground. Next, Afghanistan will take a six-day break and then battle Papua New Guinea on June 13 at the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba.

Afghanistan’s last group match as per T20 World Cup 2024 schedule is against co-hosts West Indies at the Daren Sammy Cricket Stadium. It will be on June 17 from 7:30 PM IST onwards.
