The ninth edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 will take place across the length and breadth of the Caribbean islands and the United States of America between June 02-29m
Each team will play a total of four Group matches in this 20-team event. The top two from each of the four groups will advance to the Super-8 stage, where eight teams will be split into two groups.
The top two teams from each group will move to the knockout stage. The semi-finals will take place on June 27, followed by the summit clash in Barbados on June 29.
Uganda will make its T20 World Cup debut this summer. The African nation booked its ticket to the Caribbean Islands and the United States of America by finishing second in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Africa Qualifiers 2024.
They are drawn alongside co-hosts and former world champions West Indies, former runners-up New Zealand, Giant Killers Afghanistan, and Papua New Guinea in Group C.
Uganda T20 World Cup 2024 Schedule
Uganda will launch their maiden ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 campaign against a dangerous Afghanistan team at the Providence Stadium in Guyana on June 04.
Guyana will also host their next couple of matches— vs. Papua New Guinea (on June 06) and vs. the West Indies (on June 09).
The African nation will then travel to Trinidad to take on the Kane Williamson-led New Zealand Cricket Team at the Brian Lara Stadium on June 15.
