The ninth edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 will take place across the length and breadth of the Caribbean islands and the United States of America between June 02-29.
Each team will play a total of four Group matches in this 20-team event. The top two from each of the four groups will advance to the Super-8 stage, where eight teams will be split into two groups.
The top two teams from each group will move to the knockout stage. The semi-finals will take place on June 27, followed by the summit clash in Barbados on June 29.
Speaking of the 20 participating nations, the Netherlands will look to build on their recent strong displays at the T20 and ODI World Cups. The Dutch have been locked in Group D alongside South Africa, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Bangladesh.
Netherlands T20 World Cup 2024 Schedule
The Men in Orange will open their ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 campaign against Nepal on June 04 in Dallas.
Four days later, the European nation will look to script a hat-trick of victories over South Africa when they lock horns with a power packed Proteas unit in New York on June 08.
The Netherlands were the reason South Africa weren't able to qualify for the semi-finals in the 2022 event. The Scott Edwards-led unit scripted an encore last year in Dharamsala when they upstaged a dominant Proteas unit. The South Africans will look to exact revenge this time around.
Following their encounter with South Africa, the Netherlands will travel to St. Vincent to take on Bangladesh (on June 13). Their final group stage match will be against former world champions Sri Lanka (at St. Lucia on June 17).

Giant killers Netherlands are in Group D as per the T20 World Cup 2024 schedule. The Dutch team will play against Nepal in their first game on June 4, followed by a match against their arch-rivals South Africa on June 8 in New York.
Netherlands will then travel to West Indies for their last two group stage matches according to the T20 World Cup 2024 schedule. They will take on Bangladesh in Kingstown on June 13.
Their fourth match is against Sri Lanka in St Lucia on June 16. Both matches will start at 7:30 PM IST (10:00 AM Local Time). If the Netherlands attain one of the top two positions in the Group D points table at the end of the group stage, the Men in Orange will play in the Super 8s round of the competition.
