Jackson Powers-Johnson is an American football player who began his football career with Corner Canyon High School where he was rated a four-star prospect and was ranked a top-five center recruit by all major recruitment services. In four years with Corner Canyon, Johnson racked up 124 tackles, 7.5 sacks, two interceptions, eight passes deflected and a forced fumble. He was also pivotal in guiding them to three straight state championships with a 51-1 record.
He chose to play college football for the University of Oregon over offers from YU, Liberty, Missouri, Nebraska, Utah, Utah State and Washington State. Johnson became a full-time starter in his junior season at the center position, starting all 13 games of the season for the Ducks in 2023. He was one of the most consistent offensive linesman throughout the year, allowing just one pressure and zero sacks in 471-pass blocking opportunities.
The 320-pound junior center put together a tremendous season and was awarded the Rimington Trophy, becoming the first Pac-12 player to ever win the recognition. He also named a first-team All-American by the Walter Camp Foundation, the Associated Press, Football Writers Association of America and Sporting News. After concluding a successful college career, Powers- Johnson officially declared for the 2024 NFL Draft in December 2023.
