Jared Verse is an American football linebacker for the Los Angeles Rams as of the 2024 NFL season. The Los Angeles Rams selected him as the 19th overall pick in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft.

Verse was born in Dayton, Ohio, and spent his formative years in Berwick, Pennsylvania. He excelled in high school football, playing both tight end and defensive end positions for Central Columbia High School. Beyond the football field, he demonstrated his athletic prowess on the basketball court and track events. Following his graduation, he initially committed to playing college football for the University of Albany. After three seasons there, from 2019 to 2021, he made a significant move and transferred to Florida State University (FSU) to complete his college career. Verse's noteworthy achievements during his college tenure include receiving both first-team All-American and first-team All-ACC honors consecutively in 2022 and 2023. Additionally, his outstanding performance earned recognition by being named the 2020 CAA Defensive Rookie of the Year.
