Rondale Moore is an American football wide receiver who plays for the Atlanta Falcons in the NFL. The Arizona Cardinals selected Moore as the 49th overall pick in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft. His first three seasons with the Cardinals were impressive, as his contribution on the field was 135 receptions for over 1,200 receiving yards with three touchdowns. Now in his fourth year in the NFL, Moore is all set to play for the Atlanta Falcons, a new team for him. However, his initial season in Atlanta has been cut short by a knee injury he suffered during the training camp, making him spend the whole of 2023 on the injured list.

Before joining the NFL, Moore joined Purdue University. For the Purdue Boilermakers team at Purdue University, he recorded 178 receptions, 1,915 receiving yards, and 14 touchdowns. A standout in 2018, he was awarded the Paul Hornung Award in addition to the Paul Warfield Trophy and status as a Consensus All-American. As an honor he received a Big Ten Receiver of the Year title as well as Big Ten Freshman of the Year in 2018. Rondale Moore's journey to becoming an NFL player began with a challenging start in life, largely shaped by the determination of his mother, Quincy Ricketts. Born five weeks premature (as per ESPN) on June 9, 2000, Moore faced his first battle for survival right from birth. Doctors had prescribed pre-natal steroids to Ricketts when they realized Moore would arrive early with underdeveloped lungs.

In the intensive care unit, Moore was fed nasally, leaving his mother anxious about his chances of survival. However, Ricketts recalls that even then, her son showed his fighting spirit. After five weeks of uncertainty, Moore was finally strong enough to go home. (via the official NFL website)
