That ends our coverage for this game as alongside Meeth, I (Lavil) take your leave. Join us tomorrow at 9:00 pm IST for the next SA20 match. Keep following Sportskeeda for the latest in the world of sports, SEE YA!
8:30 pm local time, 12:00 am IST: Rain, you won. We cricket lovers accept defeat. The match has been called off. No result in the SA20 2025 Match Number 10. Both JSK and PC will share a point each
Binod: "What are the weather conditions there ???" -- Currently, it is raining and it is steady rain at the venue
Ashish: "Is the match probably going to be abandoned?" -- An abandoned match happens when the game is called off without a ball being bowled. Here, we have had one innings of the game done, hence this will be a no result game
While we wait for the rain to relent and play to resume, take a look at the one handed stunner Donovan Ferreira took earlier in the first innings. Click on the article to watch👇
7:44 pm local time, 11:14 pm IST: Get out your rain based poems, no good news for us so far as the clouds continue to shed their tears. The areas near the square inside the circle are like a big puddle and that could see the game called off if it doesn't dry up soon
7:33 pm local time, 11:03 pm IST: The live visuals do not look very promising. The rain is coming down hard, but the venue is very similar to Bengaluru where the water drains very quickly. Expect the game to start soon once the showers stop
BUMMER! It has started raining at the Bull Ring and the covers come on quickly
Welcome back to the chase. In pursuit of 139, Faf du Plessis (RHB) and Devon Conway (LHB) stride out to the middle
Moeen Ali (2/21): They started well but we knew there was help for the spinners. The wickets thus came for us at the right time to drag things back. (On his performance) Pretty nice feeling. It's my first game of the season and I just tried to bowl hard lengths and vary my pace. It is an easy target but you never know in T20 cricket. We need to play well to chase it down.
7:07 pm local time, 10:37 pm IST: Pretoria Capitals finish on 138/8 after 20 overs
A fine effort with the ball from JSK. The Highveld-Derby seems to have some spin in it and now it will be interesting to see whether we have been treated to a low scoring thriller or a pretty plain, sorry painted one sided affair? Pretoria Capitals, who were high on spirits after the powerplay have somehow managed to drag themselves to a sizeable total and they will look to give it their all and defend the total.
Pretoria Capitals had an alarming start as they lost Gurbaz for a golden duck. Will Jacks and Kyle Verreynne fixed things soon, stitching together 47 runs for the second wicket for the former was dismissed. JSK would make a fist of the middle overs pressure, picking up wickets at quick pace. Liam Livingstone and Jimmy Neesham would then stitch a partnership but that would not be enough as the Capitals limped past 130.
JSK will be pretty happy with how things panned out for them. They were hit by injuries and had to make four changes for this clash but their bowlers stood tall amidst all the problems. Donovan Ferreira and Moeen Ali shared two wickets each while David Wiese, Hardus Viljoen, Imran Tahir and Evan Jones picked up a wicket each. Their fielding was on point as well, with the fielding unit taking some good catches.
139 should be an easy chase but with a slower track on offer, we never know what could happen! Join us in a bit for the chase

19.6 Hardus Viljoen to Migael Pretorius, SIX TO FINISH OFF THE INNINGS!!! Overpitched outside off, Pretorius stays back in the crease, moves across to the pitch of the ball, and smacks it hard just over the fielder at long off. What a way to end the innings. Pretoria Capitals finish on 138/8.
19.5 Hardus Viljoen to Eathan Bosch, yorker on the leg stump, inside edged to short fine.
Eathan Bosch, RHB, walks out to the middle and will be on strike
19.4 Hardus Viljoen to Senuran Muthusamy, WICKET!!! A ONE HANDED BLINDER FROM DONOVAN FERREIRA AT MID ON!!! Cross seam on the stumps, Muthuswamy creates room and tries to smack it over mid on but Ferreira times his jump properly and gets a hold with one hand.
19.3 Hardus Viljoen to Senuran Muthusamy, full outside off, Muthuswamy goes for the scoop but misses it completely.
19.2 Hardus Viljoen to Migael Pretorius, fuller on the fourth stump, Pretorius tries to smack it hard on the leg side, inside edges it to deep square leg.
19.1 Hardus Viljoen to Migael Pretorius, great yorker right between the legs. Pretorius shuffles across but gets beaten on the flick.
